You are buying one well rooted Sweet Bay Magnolia 12-18"in height. These are commonly known as Swamp Magnolia. This tree is native to the Southeastern United States along the Atlantic Coast to New York. This tree is an oblong shaped tree with shiny green foliage and underneath is a silvery foliage. This tree is known as a semi-evergreen in the South, but Deciduous in the Northern Areas. This is an excellent specimen tree for laws or tall multi-stemmed shrub for shrub boarders. You can also use in foundation plantings, near patios or near Woodland areas often planted in parks. This plant will grow in wet soils such as, those found in low spots or near streams. The Magnolia has a white fragrant bloom that will bloom during the months of late May to early June. When this tree matures it can grow up to 30 feet tall with a spread of 10-30 feet.
