About The Title: His Marvelous LightIn the King James Bible, Isaiah 9:2 says, “The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light; they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.”1Peter 2:9-10 says, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.When we are addicted, we sit and walk in darkness. We are those blinded to the truth about God and what He says about us. We are lost inside ourselves, consumed by the lust of our flesh. “But if our Gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost (perishing). In whom the god of this world (Satan) hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine upon them.” (2Corinthians 4:3-4)In salvation and deliverance, repentance has taken place, demonic forces have been cast out, and the Spirit of God is embraced.In “the rooms” of recovery and practicing the 12 steps embraced by AA, NA, and CDA, (Alcoholic, Narcotics and Chemically Dependent Anonymous respectively), that person begins a process that rebuilds responsibility by working out personal character defects through spiritual principles (that are literally taken from the Bible) clinging to “the god of their understanding” and not necessarily the God who made Heaven and Earth.
