June 28, when the Constitution was adopted, has been celebrated as an official holiday since 1996, called Constitution Day.The changes adopted in 2004 marked changes to the country's political system. Sometimes incorrectly, these amendments are called the 2004 Constitution. In 2010, then-President Viktor Yanukovich restored these changes based on the Constitutional Court's decision.
